The Blessed Feast

"When one of those at the table with Him heard this, he said to Jesus, 'Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the Kingdom of God."
Luke 14:15

Jesus responded with a parable about a feast.  Many were invited "But they all alike began to make excuses."  Excuses to miss worship, to miss the Sacrament, to miss Bible Study, to miss meetings, to miss daily devotional time.

The feast remains!  Can you smell it?  A feast of God's forgiveness, mercy, and love!  Jesus provided this feast for us, by shedding His blood on the cross!  Don't make excuses!  Understand how truly blessed is the one who eats at the feast in the Kingdom of God!  And eat!

Prayer For The Day

O Lord, how blessed I am to be able to eat with You in Your Kingdom!  Help me to make worship, communion, the study of Your Word, the most precious thing in my life!  I want to be blessed in this way!  Help me, and give me this blessedness!  Amen.
