Now this is just too much! Rid of all malice? I can't have mean thoughts toward anyone? All deceit? I can't even lie a little? All hypocrisy? No pretense at all? No envy? What, I'd have to go blind! And no slander? How else do you cut people down to size?

Yes, rid yourselves of all these things. I know how comfortable they are! I know how easy they are! Do you know how evil they are?

God forgives us for all these things. Thank Jesus for that. But don't give up on yourself. Start "ridding" yourself of these things! It matters not how long it takes. Only that you are in the process! God will not give up on you!

O Lord, you know how spiritually crippling and distorting malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander truly are! Thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness, and for Your patience with me. Help me Lord, to cooperate with You, in getting rid of these damnable sins from my heart! Amen.
