He came to Jesus at night . . ."

Many people first come to Jesus at night, and keep their discipleship cloaked with secrecy.  We know how difficult it can be to get along in life, to relate to unbelievers, when others know we are Christian.

As we grow in Christ, it becomes less difficult.  We know God's love, and we are compelled to also love [doing what is right].  It becomes a joy to live our lives in a way that witnesses to God's love, not self-righteousness.

At Jesus' death, Nicodemus came out of the secrecy, and helped with the funeral arrangements of the Lord!  He was a disciple, and it no longer mattered what people thought!

O Lord, You are my life and my salvation.  Nothing else really matters to me.  Help me to keep you in mind all through the day, that I too may find joy in a life of goodness and love.  Amen.
