Unless you know that this Gospel of free forgiveness, pardon, and eternal life through faith in Jesus is the central message of all of Holy Scripture, you simply cannot properly understand the Word of God.

Likewise, if you want to hear the voice of God's forgiveness and pardon, it is to be found throughout the prophetic and apostolic Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments! All books of the Bible testify to God's gracious forgiveness and love in Christ Jesus!

Jesus is the center of the Holy Scripture, and the key to understanding the Bible. He is the revelation of the Father's heart and will toward you! Be sure to take Him along every time you open His book. Look for Him as you read, and you will find Him! Finding Him you will also find eternal life!

Prayer For The Day

O Lord Jesus, often I look to Your Word for direction in life, for thoughts of wisdom, for how I might please You. Help me first to see Your forgiveness and mercy and love in all the Scriptures. Preserve me and strengthen me in my faith in You that I may properly understand all of Holy Scripture, and truly know You. Amen.
