it. O Lord, save us; O Lord, grant us success."

How do you define success? What would it take for you to consider yourself a "successful" person? What would such success be worth, if you remained unsaved, and left this world for hell?
The Psalmist emphasizes two things. The most important thing is that God saves us! This He has done in the gift of His Son Jesus, our Savior. Secondly, that God must grant us success. Of course, the success He gives us is far different than the world's view of success! Rather than being measured by money, it is measured by godliness, righteousness, peace, joy, and love!

Yes, Lord this is Your day! You have made it, and I rejoice in it. This I do because I know and believe Your love for me, and I rejoice in Your salvation. Enable me to keep things in proper perspective, and grant me also true success, as measured from the perspective of eternity! Amen.
