Monday morning. The weekend's frivolity is diminished, until next weekend. Filthy movies still play. Drug use and alcohol abuse continue. Criminals still steal and abuse. Couples still co-habit without marriage. Adultery beckons, marriages wilt. The rich get richer. Abortions are happening now. Homosexuals flaunt their lifestyle.

It's Monday morning, life goes on. So we forget the danger. We allow "Babylon's" thinking, values, and behaviors to infiltrate. Flee what? It's Monday morning, and all's well in Babylon.

"Do not be destroyed because of her sins." Do not make her sins your own! Flee! To church, to repentance, to the mercy of Jesus, to prayer, to newness of life. Flee, for "He will repay her what she deserves."

Prayer For The Day

O Lord God, I too forget how repugnant evil and sin is to You. I too presume upon Your mercy, and forget that You are righteous. Save me from Your vengeance, for Jesus' sake, and help me to flee to You. Amen.
