Christianity is Life!

Christianity is not merely "religion," but is life and salvation in Christ. Life comes and flows through "knowing" God.

Of course "knowing" God is not like mathematical or historical knowledge, not a mere intellectual awareness of facts. It is grasping God's character, knowing and believing that God is love, and trusting, rejoicing, and living in that love!

Only through Jesus can we truly "know" God. And this "knowing" is eternal life! If you know and believe in Jesus, you "have" [present tense] eternal life. Death is not the end, but a transition eagerly awaited, to the joy of heaven!

Prayer For The Day

O Lord God, how hard it is for me to fully grasp that I already have eternal life as Your free gift in Jesus. Help me to see how greatly You have "loved the world," including me, that I may truly know You and live more fully in faith and love. Amen.
