Faith is a very interesting thing. Faith is based on some information [else it's mere optimism, or wishful thinking] and includes trust, reliance, dependence.
It has often been said, and certainly is true, that "faith is only as good as its object." If I trust in myself, the information I generate on my own and my own capabilities, the object of my faith is not that great!
Isaac blessed his sons because He knew God's Word, promises for good and blessedness. He blessed his sons, because he trusted those Words and promises of God! God's Word promises forgiveness, life and salvation! God doesn't lie! Faith in Jesus? Faith in God's Word? That's an excellent faith!

For The Day

O Lord, let me learn more of Your Word, that I may know what to believe, and grant me trust and confidence in You, that I may truly believe Your Word. Let me live under Your blessing, by faith, and let me pass on Your blessing to those around me. Amen.
