The Kingdom of heaven is not passive and meek.  It advances forcefully.  Likewise, those who enter in cannot be weak and luke-warm.  They must be forceful, and "seize" hold of it.

Sin, unbelief, and rebellion resist the advance and coming of God's Kingdom.  Our own sinful flesh rebels against the Spirit of God, and we must violently seize and grab hold of the grace and mercy of God, so that we may keep hold of faith in God's great mercy and forgiveness!

The weak and luke-warm are like the plants in shallow soil.  They wither and die when the heat comes on!  Sink your roots deeply into God's love in Christ Jesus, and hold on to the faith forcefully!

Prayer For The Day

O Lord God, my sinful nature so struggles against all good, that I feel spiritually weak and helpless!  Stir up my heart to courage, and move me to grab hold of Your Kingdom with all my might!  Then remind me that Your Almighty hands surround my grip, so that it cannot fail!  Inspire me to be forceful about my place within Your Kingdom!  Amen.
