Abounding In Love

"And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God."
Philippians 1:9-11

Here is a pious prayer for you. It's your love that is in question. Is it abounding more and more? Not just in your heart, but in knowledge and insight, so that you know what to do and actually do it? Is your life filled with the fruits of God's forgiving love, not to your glory, but to the praise of God?

Ah, you see that your life is to bring praise and glory to God! This can only happen as your love abounds, knowing and doing what is good and right, what is consistent with love! Will this also be your prayer for yourself, and the first priority on your agenda?

O Lord, how sweetly and richly Your love abounds for me. Forgiveness, peace, joy, strength, and eternal life. Give me also the blessing of abounding in love for You, that my life may be filled with good works for others, to bring praise and glory to You. Amen.
